Question: What are some drug abuse charities in ottawa?

Like ones that have recovery for drug abuse and have inpatient care? I'm having trouble finding any.

The Salvation Army has treatment centres. Also, if you contact one of the hospitals, they could help you out with at least a list of detox centres. Look in the white pages under Alcoholics Anonymous and call them. Even if the problem is not alcohol related, they will be able to give you local listings of centres. Take note that if the centre is run by a particular religious organization (like Salvation Army) the programs are not religion based. Hope this helps.

Not sure why you would expect treatment for a self inflicted condition to be free.
