Everybody. Mainly the user and their immediate family. But it has an effect on everyone. People in legitimate pain have trouble getting the meds they need because of addicts working their doctors for pills. Crime, DUIs, the list goes on. |

Everyone, The family The friends The work colleagues Those that don't even know them - The consumer that pays the mark up for the theft they do at the stores. The victims of their crimes to break into peoples houses, shops, cars, boats, sheds, garages just to steal coins. Everyone that pays house insurance to cover theft by druggies Not to mention the impact on the health system Yep pretty much the whole darn country |

Let me tell you what happened at my school a few days ago. One of my friends was very high on some pills. She wasn't able to think and not even answer the teacher when he asked her if she's high on something. The next morning, her mother found her in the bathroom with blood all over around her (she was having her period, BUT she just had it 10 days ago). Her parents took her to the hospital. The consequence: she has brain damage now, heart problems and she'll have to see a psychiatrist almost daily. She was high most of the time, but on easy drugs. She tried the 'real deal' now and almost took an overdose. I'm high only in special occasions (once a month or so). (I haven't took anything for 2 weeks by now). From my group 2 are high almost daily (including her), 1 is high from 3 to 3 days, 2 are high once a week and 3-4 don't really use drugs (they 'try' occasionally). What's the result in the society: She lost a few friends (it's only the beginning), her parents know that she used drugs, people ask about her and for how much does she sell 1g of pot and we're afraid that she'll tell her parents/ police that we used drugs too. Most of the time people realize only when it's too late that they hurt not only themselves, but also the ones close to them. 2 months ago my best friends wanted to try weed for the first time. I begged them not to try (because I know where it can lead to), but they didn't want to listen to me until i told them that if they smoke I don't to have anything to do with them anymore. They didn't. In the end you end up stealing from others to be able to buy drugs. IT AFFECTS EVRYONE! YOU CAN AFFECT EVERYONE! |
