I overcame an addiction to cocaine 27 years ago... I can't say that atheism healed me, but no god or religion did, either. I also quit drinking over 15 years ago - again, without any god or religion. Edit - I get thumbs down for the truth, eh?

That's just replacing one habit with something else. Atheists can sort out problems in other ways, therapy, etc.

Healed? Not me. I was saved from all 3 by Jesus Christ of Nazareth. John 3:16 God Bless

God still does not exist even though palliative cures work sometimes.

I've heard of all of those things being healed by weed. Close enough.

I stopped drinking on my own. I didn't need a superstition as a crutch.

More people have turned to another false hope and unrealistic addiction to cope with their pain - religion. However, many people find they are able to overcome things rationally with will power and support and find some honest answers to the problems that will last and help them grow as a person.

Religion isn't relevant. No one was healed by religious faith, just placebo

In this case you should define atheism. Many Christians like to equate science with atheism (probably because science can't prove there is a god). If you are doing that Science has cured many things via medical science, psychology, and many types of counselling. Religion hasn't cured anything. Sorry sweetie, prayer just doesn't work as much as you would like it to work.

Atheism is not a belief system that gives weak people rules to manages their lives with. The simple fact that it doesn't matter which blueprint people use should be a big clue that it's the structure, not the specific beliefs, that help people.

None, but at least atheism is a cure for idiocy. atheism is simple a lack of believe in something that doesnt exist (god). It doesnt try to heal anyone. but certainly, many atheists may have been cured from alcoholism, drug abuse, broken marriages, etc, by going to a therapist for example, instead of going to the church, which doesnt really cure anything, people in the church just bury their feelins and problems deep inside. thats why there are so many christian people that are caught having gay sex, when they were oppositors of homosexuality. they just did bury their feelings deep inside and hoped for those to never came out. Obviously, it doesnt work.
