Also the gambling incuded in the list Innal khamru wal maisiru wal ansaabu wal azlaamu , rijsum min AMALIS SHITAANU, FAJTANIBOOHU... . Magic too is illegal Old & New Testaments new testaments don't have such GOOD verses at all. Did you know ?Should not such evil crreatiing things be abolished ?Interest of money exploites poor indiscriminately by money lenders. It must not be equated with inflation as both are totally different things. Deserting a family of poor is INHUMAN. If there is an inflation, that is the EVIL of economic system, NOT a STANDARD PARAMETER of economy. Generally, stock brokers or economists in general, DELIBERSATELY keep inflation ARTIFICIALLY even if that must be zero. That is treachery, NOT principled stand & a standard procedure of economic system. A good economist must be highly principled, God fearing & greatly HUMANETARIAN too. Only amassing money by businessman is NO AT ALL good economic set up.Is deserting people by exploitation of money lending or any other means NOT an evil ? My parents are recovered alcoholic, 3 years to be exact. We are a christian family of 6, and we are all messed up from growing up in a dysfunctional family. 3 of us are drug addicts, 1 relies on her drug addict boy friend, 1 is an alcoholic, and im anorexic. Growing up my parents were always super christian, but how could they be if they were so messed up? After there recovery there still obsessively religious, and they pay no attention to the problems and they always say " just pray and god will fix everything" . Do you think there just using god and religion as a security blanket? How can god fix everything if they don't start to do something about the problems oh and i'm not a religions person at all, they turn me off of it.
Why is alcohol, and alcoholism, more acceptable than other drugs or addictions?
Okay, I am an American, as many of you are, and I realize in other cultures it is different. But here in the Western world it seems that alcohol is far more acceptable than any other drugs ... just look at the laws.I have seen more damaging effects or equally damaging effects, of alcohol, than for example, marijuana or other drugs. It is strong and debilitating. How did the culture develop such a strong understanding for alcohol and such a resentment for other drugs? The effects of alcohol are just as damaging, if not worse, in my opinion than other drugs such as marijuana. Any substance abuse is bad, but why is it when we hear of a cocaine addict or a pot head that we immediately experience some sort of horror while your Uncle Tom can be an alcoholic without a job, living in bars and on people's couches, and his behavior is some how more acceptable than the coke head or pot head who has a steady job and a home? I know alcoholism is taken seriously, I'm not saying that it isn't. But the reaction of people hearing of a man or woman in a rehab program is more intense than their reaction to a man or woman in an alcoholism anonymous class. I'm not condoning drug use, and I'm not supporting prohibition, I'm just curious as to what happened along the road to come to that end? Another thing is, these days, it seems cigarettes are considered horrible and disgusting, but drinking yourself into a coma at a bar, where you can't smoke, is totally fine.
